Ecuador Surf Adventure is based in Manta, on Ecuador's central coast. We are not a travel agency or a surf school, we are a local surf guiding operation run by someone who has spent 29 years in these waters. Our job is simple: take you to the right wave, on the right day, and make sure you get the most out of your time in the water.
THE SURF GUIDE
Born and raised in Manta, José Moreira "El Chino" rode his first waves at Murciélago beach before he could fully understand what surfing was. What started as a childhood obsession became a life built around the ocean: 29 years reading waves, chasing swells, and exploring breaks up and down Ecuador's coast and beyond ; Chile, Perú, the Galápagos.
José holds a degree in business administration and is a certified guide by Ecuador's Ministry of Tourism. He knows this coast the way most people know their own neighborhood, which spots work on which swell, where to eat after a session, and how to make the most of a day on the water regardless of conditions.
Craft beer somewhere along the way became part of the story too.
